How do I add a second till without a full point-of-sale overhaul?
You pair it. Every terminal — iPad, iPad mini, Android tablet, iPod, iPhone — draws on the same menu and the same database, so a dish added at the counter is on the waiter’s handheld without being entered twice, and a second till is a device to set up, not a system to rebuild. An order taken on any of them reaches the kitchen the same way: sent directly, no paper chit walked over, nothing re-keyed once it lands. That matters most to whoever is working the floor, whose tableside order is at the pass before they have turned around.
What an account may do travels with the person, not the device. A server signed in at a floor terminal sees incoming orders; a manager reaches marketing tools as well; the owner’s account carries everything, on whichever terminal they happen to pick up. Sales from every terminal feed the same cloud dashboard, so the day’s figures arrive as one picture and not as a set of per-device totals somebody has to add up. When they get there is the cloud page’s subject, not this one’s. It is also why the hardware bill stays small: one tablet runs a full service, and each terminal after it extends the same system instead of duplicating it.
