Built because restaurants were avoiding POS systems altogether.
GeniusPos was founded by Steve Ong and Roland Ong to solve a problem they kept running into: restaurateurs avoiding point-of-sale systems altogether.
The reasons were consistent. The systems were complicated. Owners feared they would be difficult to use. They were unstable, the data came out inaccurate, and they were expensive. So we set out to build one that is straightforward, stable, affordable, and does more rather than less.
Our belief is simple: a restaurant owner's time should go into leading the restaurant, not into managing unproductive work.
