How do I check today's sales without being on-site?
Open the dashboard. Sales leave the till and land on the cloud dashboard the same day, not after someone compiles them, so how the day went is something an owner reads instead of something they ask the manager on shift about.
Every branch feeds that dashboard at the same time, which is what makes comparing two of them fair — nobody is waiting on one outlet to send its numbers over while the other’s have been in since lunch. Day against day, month against month: a slow Tuesday shows up as a pattern and not as a mood.
It is also somewhere to work from, not only somewhere to look. Menu items and stock levels can be managed there as well as on the till itself, which is the difference between making one price change centrally and making the same change on six iPads in turn. Stock gets its own watch: set a minimum and a target quantity for an ingredient and the system can flag it before it runs out — the same reorder logic the inventory page covers, applied to the whole business instead of one outlet.
Behind all of it, GeniusPos’s cloud services carry API access and an SQL Accounting integration, so the day’s sales reach the accounts without anyone retyping a printed summary.
